Yvonne Marie Hancey
After what feels like a lifetime in the restaurant industry, I jumped head first to the event world in 2015, by taking a role as Event Director at a then brand spankin' new historic Portland, OR venue (with no experience, shhhh…). I spent seven years developing systems and honing my craft, I began offering my services to select couples as a coordinator and found my passion! It brings me a lot of joy working with clients and creating an experience for them and their guests that feels like I plucked it directly from their imagination.
I am detail obsessed, solution oriented and LOVE a non-traditional idea. I am a proud Latina and a nearly fluent Spanish speaker. I hope to utilize my bi-lingual skills in this business as much as I can! Weddings are my specialty, but I have planned and executed small scale music festivals, fundraisers and managed logistics for many corporate training and staff appreciation parties.
I love getting outside. I rock climb, summit mountains, trail run and have done lots of solo backpacking trips. All of those things have taught me how to stay cool when things don’t go as planned, which has been a saving grace in my work! My dream is to plan an adventure elopement on top of a mountain for a couple in love.
